The new town-wide Trails Team hosts an organizational meeting, Wednesday, Sept. 19 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the council chambers at Barrington Town Hall.
Come see the slide show of what we’ve done so far and learn how you can contribute to our community open spaces. No previous experience necessary. The ‘team’ is seeking organizing members and partner organizations as well as trail and project volunteers who love our community park and conservation lands.
Recent projects and hikes at Veterans Memorial Park have been the work of a partnership with the Barrington Land Conservation Trust, Town of Barrington, Barrington Conservation Commission, Barrington Preservation Society, Bayside Family YMCA, Boy Scout Troops, Friends of Legion Way, the National Park Service’s River and Trails Program (NPS).

As our second year of the NPS grant wraps up, we will continue our focus on work at the park and then elsewhere in town – wherever trail and stewardship work is needed.

Kickoff ProjectThe Trails Team kickoff project is Saturday, Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park.

Meet at sign kiosk at back parking lot.

Lombardi Park Land Trust Fall Stewardship Project will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Help remove invasive plants and move the brush from the park to roadside for pickup.
