On Wednesday, April 17th, kids and adults of all ages set off into Sowams Woods, a Land Trust property off Washington Rd., to collect natural treasures such as sticks, leaves, and pine cones. With these found objects, and with the help of art teacher Tiffany Mendez, everyone created artwork in the spirit of Andy Goldsworthy, an artist who creates temporary landscape art installations out of anything he finds in nature. It was a beautiful spring day, and everyone was glad to be outdoors taking in all the sights and sounds of the woods.
