We have a “double header” of events this month, just in time to take advantage of some nice spring weather.

First, this coming Saturday May 5th from 10 am until noon we will be working at “The Farm” (formerly Vendituoli Farm) on Federal Rd.  It is currently being acquired by the land trust and will continue to be operated as a farm by the Barrington Farm School.  We will be doing a “clean up” involving litter and brush removal.  Parking is available adjacent to the farm stand on Federal Rd. near the intersection with Middle Highway.   This is our first Saturday event of the year so we hope to see some new faces!  Tools if needed will be provided, but bring work gloves and hand shears if you have them.

Our next Tuesday Trails Team will be on May 8, 2018.   We will  be working at  “Heritage Woods” doing trail maintenance and invasives removal.   Bring your usual hand clippers and/or loppers.  There will be additional tools available.  We will meet at 10 am. weather permitting on Ferrier Ave. which is between Tall Pines Dr. and Heritage Rd. in Hampden Meadows.

As always don’t forget about tick precautions!

Come to one or both events.  Right now it’s looking like sun and clouds with temps in the high 60’s low 70’s for both days.

Your volunteer work is always appreciated!  Tell a friend.  We  welcome new participants.  Sign up at: volunteers@blct.org
