Join us Monday, September 2nd, 2013 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm for a Hundred Acre Cove Paddle. This event is part of Rhode Island Land Trust Days and is co-hosted by the Barrington Land Conservation Trust, East Bay Rowing and the Barrington Recreation Department.
Seize the end of the summer with this pristine paddle in the third-largest salt marsh estuary in Rhode Island. It is home to Rhode Island’s only known nesting area for northern diamondback terrapins, and it supports more than fifty species of birds. Naturalist will be on hand to educate us about the cove’s rich wildlife. You must register in advance for this event at: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0545A9AE2BAA8-paddle. Bring your own kayak or canoe, life jacket, sunscreen, bug repellent, and water. Rental kayaks can be reserved in advance for the day of the paddle at East Bay Paddle – a new, local, drop-off kayak rental company at: www.eastbaypaddle.com or via email at: email@example.com.
