Local Walk Series Begins (sponsored by the Barrington Public Library, BLCT, Barrington Preservation Society & Appalachian Mountain Club) – Join us for a walk at PIC-WIL Nature Preserve on Thursday, July 9th at 6:00PM. The 25 acre tract of conservation land is owned by the BLCT. Donated by Catherine Picerelli, it is one of the few properties not open to the public, except by invitation. Walkers will be guided through woodland, barrier beach and fields that are inhabited by purple martins, ospreys and other wildlife. Charlotte Sornborger, the leader, will acquaint walkers with the property and its history. This easy walk will last about an hour. Participants will meet at the walk site by 6PM. To register for the walk and to find directions and parking information for PIC-WIL, visit barringtonlibrary.org and navigate to Adult Events. The walk is free and open to all.
